“The themes of the show align well with TO WRITE LOVE ON HER ARMS of which we are creating a social action campaign via our social medial platforms and to be featured in our program to generate awareness for the NPO and illuminate to our patrons, specifically the younger demographic, how they can get involved and be that beacon of support in their own communities.” – American Idiot LA

AMERICAN IDIOT, crafted from the iconic Grammy Award-winning album by Green Day, chronicles the frustration, anger, and dreams of a lost generation of young Americans as they struggle to find meaning in a post 9/11 world.

Borne along by an electrifying score, the show follows the exhilarating journey of three disaffected friends seeking an identity outside the safety of suburbia in the face of love, failure, violence, and temptation.

This warehouse production takes a page from the punk rock band, which formed in 1986 and conquered the underground concert scene.

AMERICAN IDIOT will be directed by Topher Rhys and Jen Oundjian, who reunite again with musical director Elmo Zapp.

This rock-infused presentation is produced for glory|struck by Topher Rhys, Jamie Lee Barnard, and Juliana Scott who most recently produced the award-winning, Ovation nominated Los Angeles revival of BARE. Before that, the grunge-inspired SPRING AWAKENING aligned with Brittany Snow’s Love is Louder.
