Create Your Video Application

The video is the most important piece of your application—think of it as your first impression. It will basically involve you sitting in front of a camera and answering some questions for us. We include this so we can see your personality and how you communicate. Treat it like you’re having a conversation with us. And don’t worry about your filmmaking ability; we won’t judge your editing skills. See the Video Application instructions below for what to include.

Online Application

We want to get a sense of who you are. Just be honest and true to yourself. Note: Some browsers do not allow you to save and return to the application once you start. If you are looking for a complete list of questions on the application, please email [email protected].

References

Part of the online application will have you list three references—two professional, one personal. Collect your references’ contact information (including email) before you start the online application.

Resume + Writing Sample

Send us your resume AND one writing sample to [email protected]. The writing sample can be a creative, professional, or an academic work of writing. If you are applying for the Design Intern position, please also include your Design Portfolio.

What Happens Next

After the application has closed and our Intern Program Director has reviewed all of the submissions, our Intern Director will pick prospective interns to interview via Skype or FaceTime. After the interview round, the Intern Director decides who will be invited for the term. All applicants can still expect a notification from the Intern Director, whether or not they are selected for an interview or the internship.

Videos may not exceed five minutes in length. Please upload your video to YouTube, following their instructions. You can keep the video private if you prefer—just be sure to make it so anyone who has the URL can view it, and email us the link. You’ll also need to include the URL for your video to complete the online application, so make sure you finish it before submitting the online application.
