In this episode, TWLOHA founder Jamie Tworkowski talks with Denny Kolsch. Denny opens up about his experience struggling with anxiety and an opioid addiction, how he got sober, and what he’s doing now in an effort to save lives in his community and beyond.
Denny is a licensed mental health counselor. He is also the co-founder and Chief Clinical Officer of Peace Club, an opioid recovery community located in Cocoa Beach, FL.
“But I had some friends who had overdosed around that time as well. Some people I grew up with who lost their lives to this addiction. And so I felt this was a personal calling for me to do something with my life and to use my skill sets, use my mental health license, use my relationships in the community, use everything I had to do something to prevent more overdose deaths.”
We’d like to thank Denny Kolsch for sharing his story with us and Copeland for the original music featured here. Jamie Tworkowski served as our host for this episode, which was produced by Mark Codgen, Claire Biggs and Jennie Armstrong of Lore de Force, Rebecca Ebert, and Chad Michael Snavely.
