In this episode, TWLOHA founder Jamie Tworkowski talks with Levi MacAllister, also known as Levi the Poet. Levi opens up about losing his dad to suicide and how that informed his own understanding of mental health. He also touches on his creative process and how he’s working to take better care of himself.
Levi Macallister is a writer, musician, and spoken word artist.
“I've always been pretty vocal and vulnerable...I don't like censorship very much, and I don't like shying away from the things that are real and right in front of us. And so especially coming out of everything that happened with my dad, I think our entire family has been a lot more willing to simply call things as they are.”
We’d like to thank Levi Macallister for sharing his story with us. Jamie Tworkowski served as our host for this episode, which was produced by Mark Codgen, Claire Biggs and Jennie Armstrong of Lore de Force, and Chad Michael Snavely.
