we are extremely excited to announce our month long contest with our friends at SocialVibe.com is finally underway!
if you are not familiar with how SocialVibe works, you can read our previous blog here for a quick update. our goal for this contest is to raise $15,000 through SocialVibe.com by the end of October and we want to make this something that is fun for all of you : ) the contest is easy:
1. First things first, choose TWLOHA as the charity you support on SocialVibe. If you don’t have a SocialVibe profile, click the banner below to create a profile and start helping TWLOHA.
2. Then, recruit as many friends as possible to join SocialVibe by Oct 31 by clicking the “Spread the Word” on the TWLOHA Cause page. Each friend that signs up will count as 1 recruit for you.
3. The TOP 3 RECRUITERS will be flown to Florida to meet the entire TWLOHA team, see our day to day projects and we will all head out to see Anberlin on November 7th at the House of Blues in Orlando!
you can help reach our goals by gaining points to your profile. the way you get points is by sending out messages, bulletins, or share links with all your friends on MySpace and Facebook and encourage them to support To Write Love on Her Arms on SocialVibe.com
we love the guys in Anberlin and we want to invite you all to be a part of the last night of their tour in their hometown. Not to mention our friends in There for Tomorrow are opening up for Anberlin on the entire tour and this is a hometown show for them as well.
this is our small way of being able to say, “thank you.” to a few of you and we hope this is something everyone has fun with. we’re excited to open our doors and let you all see our intern program and the things we are working on. also, for everyone and especially those who is under 18, take this as a great opportunity to introduce TWLOHA to your parents and family. let them know why To Write Love on Her Arms and these issues are things that matter to you. i am 21 years old and i will be completely honest when i say my parents didn’t really grasp what we were trying to do here until they saw our piece on NBC Nightly News a few weeks back. if you want to share it too or you might have missed it, you can watch the video here.
i didn’t think i would be able to say this but it actually feels like autumn is getting the best of florida tonight : )
