Saturday in San Diego: Switchfoot Bro-Am.

By Jamie TworkowskiJune 4, 2008

Hey Guys.

Our friends in Switchfoot do a really cool thing every early June. It’s an event they call the Switchfoot Bro-Am and it’s a day of surfing, music and fun. Each year, the Bro-Am benefits a different local charity – this year it’s the Oceanside and San Diego branches of StandUp For Kids, a national nonprofit volunteer outreach organization that began in San Diego and is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of at-risk, homeless, and street kids.
The Bro-Am is happening this Saturday (June 7) at Moonlight Beach in Encinitas and we wanted invite you as TWLOHA will be in the mix again this year. My sister Emily and i will be there, along with our buddy Wes from Azusa. Just look for the TWLOHA tent.

This will be my third Bro-Am and it seems to get bigger and better every year. Some of the best surfers in the world will be there, along with music by Switchfoot, the lovely A Fine Frenzy and others. And again, it’s all for a really great cause.
