Here We Go. (Hello from I-75)

By Jamie TworkowskiFebruary 21, 2007

Hi Guys

Just wanted to say a quick hello from the road. We picked up our RV and our dear friend Jake yesterday, and we’re headed north now. Jake flew all the way from Portland and today begins his long drive home. Trisha, Lauren and David are asleep, I’m online, and Jake is at the wheel, heading towards Atlanta. We’re going to sleep for a couple hours, pick up shirts in the morning, and then tomorrow is opening night in Charlotte : )

We are so excited. As we mentioned before, we’re going to do our best to bring you along for this ride. We will be posting photos and video as often as possible, and I’m planning to write every day. We’re going to be working on all that tomorrow and will let you know as soon as there’s more to say…

This is a dream come true. On so many levels. I’ve been staring at maps. Looking at all the places we’re going, so many places I’ve always wanted to go. So many folks we’re excited to meet. Will we meet you? I hope so.

I was thinking about purpose as we drove away from Melbourne a few hours ago. There’s so much that I’m excited about with this trip, but the top of the list, the heart of this, has to be purpose. We’ve moved into this RV for the next seven weeks for the same reasons that the (TWLOHA) MySpace exists, because we want to see lives change, because people need to know that they’re not alone, people need to know what’s true. There’s a conversation to be had where pain and hope collide, and that intersection is where we’re headed.

35 shows.
49 days.
Here we go.
We hope to see you soon.

Much love to you.

PS: Anberlin’s “Cities” came out today and it’s an incredible album. We are so proud of those guys. We feel a special connection to “Cities”, and to Anberlin in general. It’s cool to think that this is their brightest moment and by inviting us along, they’re giving us our brightest moment.
