Online Orders / Why the Wait?

Hi Guys.
 
Raw Talent is our partner for the online store. We know that many of you have been waiting weeks for orders placed online.  We want you to know that we’re working with Raw Talent to do everything possible to get your orders shipped as soon as possible.  And we want to say that we’re sorry.
 
Every great thing that’s happened and is happening with TWLOHA, from Renee’s needs being met to us being in a position to hire staff, to the situations we’re pouring into now; all of these things have been made possible by your orders.  We know that your time, and your money is valuable, and no one should have to wait weeks for their order. 
Raw Talent has been incredibly supportive and generous in helping TWLOHA grow from one order, back in March, for a few dozen black (Title) t-shirts that we hoped to sell in Orlando to help cover Renee’s rehab expenses.  Fast forward to TWLOHA today; several hundred online orders each week, which make up 90% of the support of this non-profit movement.
 
So what’s the problem?
American Apparel:
Much of the problem comes from TWLOHA being short-shipped by American Apparel.  AA makes the shirts that we print on. They make great stuff, they do a lot of business, but they have not been the easiest to work with.
 
Shipping:
The problem isn’t shipping.  The problem is inventory.  Raw Talent ships orders within 48 hours (when the product is available.) 
 
Solutions:
In terms of solutions, here’s what we’re doing:
1. We’re ordering more.  We’re printing more shirts to be sure that we catch up on all backorders, and to be sure that we have shirts ready for future orders.
2.  Raw Talent is adding additional customer service.  (They were set up for only a few calls and emails per day.  They’ve been getting much more)
3.  We will very soon be adding an Availability List to the online store, so you know that what you’re ordering is in fact available, and if something’s not available, we’ll tell you when it will be.
 
Good News:
The good news is that we’ve been working on this stuff for the last few weeks, and we’re making great progress.  We’re almost there.  We’ve printed and shipped a ton of shirts in the last week.  We will not rest until all backorders are shipped, with shirts on the shelf for tomorrow’s orders.
